M&A Strategic & Tactical Alignment Programs

The mission of M&As alignment strategy, is clear and concise.  We're here to assist your organization to:

  • Align your Board or Leadership team around its vision, mission, values, and goals.

  • Obtain buy-in and input from your leadership and implementation teams.

  • Establish clarity about where you're going and what you need to do to get there.

Module 1
Strategic Alignment

Strategic Alignment helps you keep everyone on the same page so you can transform your people, strategy, and culture. Getting clarity and alignment as a group is systemic when you have a clear and specific process. Here is how we help you achieve Alignment:

Pre-Planning.  As a start to the planning process, M&A will conduct a survey of the key leadership team members and participants, as well as some key stakeholders.  Sample questions include, "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"; "In your ideal world, what does success for the organization look like in 3 years?"; and "Why do we exist?"  Without identifying the individuals, results will be consolidated to be reviewed with everyone involved at the planning session.

Planning Facilitation. Our strategic planning process follows a multi-step process we’ll go through in-person during the session.  These can include discussion, analysis, and review of:

  • Your Current Status – Where are we now? We'll look at what has worked using the techniques of SWOT and PESTLE Analysis.

  • Your Future Vision – What is your agreed upon mission? Why do you exist? We will develop a 3-Year Mission.

  • Values & Risks – What are the Values & Behaviors that will get in our way? What risks do we have to deal with

  • Priorities & Goals – What do we need to do and how do we prioritize goals assuming limited resources. We'll identifying 3 Strategic Priorities & Goals.

The core outcomes from this process will provide clarity, alignment and senior level buy-in for your Vision, Mission, Value, and Strategic Priorities.

Module 2 - Tactical Alignment is the next step. What follows should be the presentation of those priorities and goals to the actual teams who will be charged to make them reality.

You can select Module 1 - Strategic Alignment as a standalone program, but you increase your chances of success, but moving to Module 2. Typically what follows a successful strategic session are goals presented to people that will determine what can actually be done, but did not necessarily have the chance to buy into the vision.

Module 2
Tactical Alignment

You want Action and Communications plans that are realistic measurable, and achievable.  Tactical Alignment is the next logical step. Who knows better than the people doing the actual work, about what can be done with the given resources, time and energy? These people are the reality check for senior leadership.

This Module gathers those responsible for achieving the goals. The session involves reviewing the goals and objectives provided to each implementation team as a result of the Strategic Alignment.

The actual process we use in facilitation is similar to that which we use in the Strategic Alignment Module. What differs is the focus and the end result.

The teams work through the process to develop realistic, measurable, and achievable goals that work within the vision and moves the organization forward in Alignment.

Each team member will walk away knowing exactly what they are tasked with, when it is due, and what their other teammates are doing as well. Management also gains exceptional evaluation tools to reward and review performance

The core outcomes from this process will provide clarity, alignment and buy-in for your Action and Communications Planning and Critical Capacities.

You can select Module 2 as a standalone program as well. In fact, this is a great way to tackle a specific program or challenge within a working unit.
